The back legs on my customer’s chairs where bending and breaking when they slid them. The old legs were single pieces of 1/2″ solid rods, with small 1/4″ solid rods attached about 3″ from the top, which did not provide enough support.

A Yard Trellis

Trellis Drawing This customer gave me a simple sketch of a design from which to work.  This is my design based from her sketch.  The customer liked and agreed to my design. 

Finished Trellis

 The yard trellis stands 8′ tall and is 10′ wide.  It’s made with 11 gauge 3/4″ x 3/4″ sq. and 3/4″ x 1 1/2″ sq. pre-hammered tubular steel.  The web is made from a 3/16″ aluminum rod.
