A southern California customer contacted me to build this 42″ x 8″center round stainless steel screen and a 30″ bare steel fire grate.

Shipping something so large required some custom packaging.

My most frequent customers wanted this outside counter top BBQ/cooking area for their backyard.

I built the frame from 3/4″ and 1 1/2″ hammered steel square tubing.

The frame was powder coated with a 60% gloss black.

A self closing drawer and GFCI outlet/light switch.

40″ wide x 27″ deep charcoal BBQ constructed of 20 gauge stainless steel.

The charcoal tray is adjustable to regulate the proximity of the heat.

The 3 panel grill is made from 1/4″ stainless steel square solid bar and 1/2″ expanded sheet stainless steel. Also, notice the full size removable ash tray pan in the bottom of the BBQ.

I made the copper halogen light fixture to accent the stainless steel and the tile colors.

The stainless lid and handle have some girth so I included some assistance springs for when lifting the lid. Also included are supports to stop the lid from rotating all the way back.

A local handy man contacted me to build this free standing hand rail for one of his customers.

A quick sketch later and we had a design for his customer to approve.

It’s powder coated and very solid.

This customer built an outside wood burning pizza oven. He requested a 1/4″ steel removable door with a little style and flames around the thermometer. He will coat it with a high heat resistant black paint.

This was the first design, and she loved it.

This brand is made from bare carbon steel.

I always add extra style and utility in all projects, and this brand was no exception.  I could have just welded a rod onto the brand back plate, but I went with the idea of using webbing for looks and for dispersing heat before it traveled up the handle.

This customer wanted a gate to match his newly installed white, vinyl picket fence.

The 12″ guide rollers are plastic. I modified the frame to match the gate.

I supplied the installer with an Eagle 1 motor.

A simple stop bracket with plastic blocks was installed inside to prevent chipping.

This sketch was used for showing the customer the gate design before the fabrication began.

This customer called me with the request for a fire pit screen.  He supplied me with only the dimensions.

I used a bare steel metal screen.

The screen is powder coated.  For style, the handle is made from 3 twisted 1/4″ steel rods.

The customer needed extra elevation getting in and out of SUV’s.  The step she was using was made from wood, but it was heavy and did not collapse.

Here’s the step I designed and fabricated. 

The first step is 9″deep x 26″ wide x 5″ off the ground when open.  The top step is 10″ deep x 26″ wide x 10″ off the ground when open.

Except for the hardward, the step is completely made from aluminum.  This makes it easily handled.

The step’s surface is covered with a non-slip paint.  My customer requested that I include my logo on the steps.

The lower compartment is for kindling and paper.  The customer is happy with my design which brought style and utility together.
